Sarah Phippen is a Colorado artist working
in oil painting and bronze sculpture.
She moved with her family to 40 acres when she was a horse crazy
nine-year-old, and soaked up the sun, dirt and dander that continue to
influence her choice of subjects in her artwork. Working with horses, cattle
and other animals clarified her love for living things and respect for the people
who work with them. Sarah studied
sculpture with Cowboy Artist of America John Coleman, and portraiture with
contemporary realist Anthony J. Ryder. She continues to study at the Castle Rock Atelier with Diane Rappisi.
